Gene Crick Appointed Chairman of Orange County Bar Association Tax Law Committee

ORLANDO, Fla.; October 6, 2009 — The Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce that Orlando Partner Gene Crick has been appointed to serve as Chairman of the Orange County Bar Association Tax Law Section, effective September 24, 2009.

As a tax attorney, Crick handles income tax issues and transactional legal work with respect to affordable housing and market rate rental housing for developers and investors and the buying and selling entities or assets for various business clients. He has represented large and complex interests, including affordable housing developers and condominium developers. Crick primarily renders federal income tax advice for partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations and tax-exempt entities and is also knowledgeable in many non-profit and charitable matters. He also has extensive experience representing clients in tax controversy matters before the IRS. Crick began his career as a Certified Public Account for Arthur Andersen.
