Hospice & Home Health

Because of Florida’s immense elderly community, the hospices and home health industry is an extensive and interconnected field. Broad and Cassel’s attorneys have been serving Florida’s health care industry for more than 30 years, more than half of which has been dedicated to the field of hospices and home health.

Most of our lawyers in this industry have held positions as counsel or lobbyists for government agencies and trade associations pertaining to both long term care and the health care industry in general. Our attorneys use their experience to work with clients to recover Medicaid and/or Medicare benefits, lobby for proactive legislation regarding long term care, assist with acquisitions and changes of ownership, and act as legal counsel for the general needs of the different facilities and organizations.

In addition, our health care attorneys have acted as counsel during the Tort Reform and Quality Assurance Act of 2001; are approved counsel for the Association of Homes for the Aging; are Board Certified by the Florida Bar as specialists in Health Law; are certified by the Health Care Compliance Association in Health Care Compliance; held the Deputy Chief Counsel position of the Office of the General Counsel at the United States Department of Health and Human Services; are listed in the Expert Guide section, a “Guide to the Leading U.S. Healthcare Lawyers;” are Certified Dispute Resolvers by the American Health Lawyer Association; are board members of the American Health Lawyers Association; and are members of the Health Law Section of the Florida Bar.
