Mr. Edward R. Philpot is an Associate in the Orlando office of Broad and Cassel. He is a member of the Firm's Construction Law and Litigation, Commercial Litigation and Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice Groups.

  • Mr. Philpot concentrates his practice in general commercial and business litigation, handling both commercial contract disputes and construction matters. His experience in construction involves litigation, claims analysis and risk management, and large-scale infrastructure programs and projects (procurement, contracting and claims).
  • Prior to joining Broad and Cassel, Mr. Philpot was the law clerk to the Honorable Cynthia C. Jackson of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
  • While in law school, Mr. Philpot served as executive managing editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal.
  • He previously served as an intern for the United States Bankruptcy Court for both the Northern District of Georgia and the Eastern District of North Carolina.
