Mr. Richard Corcoran is Of Counsel in the Tampa office of Broad and Cassel. He is a member of the Firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group.
Mr. Corcoran served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1987-1993. He has been married for 19 years to his wife, Anne. They have six children.
- Mr. Corcoran has been practicing in Florida for more than 13 years and has experience handling health care law, labor relations, trial advocacy, legislative matters and a wide range of commercial litigation.
- Mr. Corcoran currently serves in the Florida House of Representatives, and has previously served as chief of staff. He was instrumental in formulating a property tax reform agenda which was featured in the Wall Street Journal.
- His legislative background also includes serving as counsel for the Florida House of Representatives, providing legal counsel on legislative issues and campaign law, and serving as an advisor to three former Florida House speakers.
- Mr. Corcoran was a key developer/writer of the book “100 Ideas for Florida’s Future” with then House Speaker Designate Rubio. This served as a template in other states for leaders to craft their agenda ahead of time and then put it into place during their leadership.
