Mr. Frederick Segal is an Associate in the West Palm Beach office of Broad and Cassel. He is a member of the Firm's Health Law Practice Group.

  • Mr. Segal focuses the majority of his practice on healthcare related transactions and the general representation of healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Mr. Segal represents healthcare providers, including medical and osteopathic physicians, dentists, physician practices and multi or single specialty physician groups.
  • Mr. Segal has experience various healthcare matters including the formation of multi specialty and single specialty physician groups, reviewing and negotiating agreements between payors and providers, reviewing and negotiating agreements between physician contracts with medical groups and hospitals, analyzing and advising clients on complex regulatory issues, and drafting operating agreements and professional services agreements for physician practices and groups.
  • Mr. Segal frequently advises his clients on issues relating to state and federal regulations, including Stark, Anti-Kickback, and HIPAA.
  • Mr. Segal has had numerous articles printed in health law publications, including the South Florida Hospital News and Healthcare Report, COM Outlook and The Journal of Health Care Compliance. He also collaborated on a chapter entitled “Medicare Certified Accountable Care Organizations" for the 2013 Health Law and Compliance Update, published by Aspen Publishers.
  • A frequent presenter on health care law, Mr. Segal recently participated on a panel for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Healthcare Symposium where he discussed healthcare strategies for business. He also provided Nova Southeastern University Medical School students with advice on their first employment contracts at a PULSE Health Law Society and D.O. Student Association event.
  • Mr. Segal received his Master of Laws degree in Health Law from the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. His thesis was titled “Is the Civil False Claims Act an Appropriate Vehicle to Enforce Substandard Quality of Health Care?”
Mr. Segal is involved in various community and professional organizations.
