Mr. Peter R. Goldman is a Partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Broad and Cassel. He is a member of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation and Consumer Financial Services Practice Groups.  Mr. Goldman is also Co-Chair of the Probate Litigation department.

  • Mr. Goldman successfully litigates complex business cases, including class action and mass tort cases, of an extremely wide variety before judges and juries in state and federal court and arbitration panels.
  • Mr. Goldman has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts, representing individuals as well as a wide range of businesses, including publicly-held companies in business disputes involving unfair competition, tortious interference and enforcement of restrictive covenants. Mr. Goldman also has extensive experience litigating and advising businesses in insurance disputes.
  • Mr. Goldman has recently been involved in the state and federal class action lawsuits associated with allegedly defective drywall imported from China. He is presently acting as defense counsel for a prominent Florida developer in over 100 claims.
  • A significant part of Mr. Goldman’s practice also includes litigation involving trustees, personal representatives and beneficiaries in probate litigation matters, as well as general partners, officers, directors, and shareholders in cases involving adherence to and/or breach of fiduciary duties. Mr. Goldman represents both shareholders and corporations in dissenter's rights and stockholder appraisal disputes.
  • Mr. Goldman has also represented many prominent attorneys, developers and chief executives.
  • Mr. Goldman helped negotiate the recent $60 million purse and slot agreement, as a Board Member of Florida Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association, which represents 5000 owners and trainers in Florida.
  • Mr. Goldman was recognized in 2013-2017 by the top legal guide "The Best Lawyers in America," published by Woodward and White. He was also named a "Florida Super Lawyer" in 2012 - 2017 and was designated a 2009 and 2014 "Florida Legal Elite" in Florida Trend magazine by his peers, an honor awarded to less than 2 percent of the Florida Bar.
