Heather S. Miller is Senior Counsel in the Miami and Boca Raton offices of Broad and Cassel. She is a member of the Firm's Health Law Practice Groups.

  • As a member of Broad and Cassel's Health Law Practice Group, Ms. Miller focuses her practice on complex transactions on behalf of health care entities and related businesses, federal and state fraud and abuse issues, and regulatory matters.
  • Ms. Miller acts as counsel to various health care entities and businesses. She is also a frequent presenter on health care law. Most recently, she has presented on Accountable Care Organizations, Clinical Integration and all things Health Care Reform.
  • Her practice includes negotiating and preparing corporate, business and employment agreements; preparing and reviewing various leases for space, technology and equipment; analysis and advice on fraud and abuse, regulatory, and other health care and business related issues; and providing general legal and business counseling and strategic advice for health care and related entities. Given Ms. Miller's prior experience in litigation, she also provides pre-litigation and litigation counseling to her clients.
  • Ms. Miller was named a 2010 and 2011 "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor earned by less than 2.5% of attorneys in Florida. She was also recognized as a 2013-2016 "Top Up & Comer" by South Florida Legal Guide and was nominated for "Up & Comer" by South Florida Business and Wealth in 2015. Ms. Miller was listed among the 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers in South Florida by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2014. She was recognized as a "Top Lawyer" by South Florida Legal Guide in 2017.
  • A frequent writer on topics related to health law, Ms. Miller collaborated on a chapter entitled “Medicare Certified Accountable Care Organizations" for the 2013 Health Law and Compliance Update, published by Aspen Publishers. She has also penned numerous articles for industry publications. Most recently, "Be Safe Instead of Sorry: Drafting Non-Competes" and "Telemedicine: Florida Law Remains a Barrier Until Legislation is Passed" were published by South Florida Hospital News in 2014 and 2015.
