Ms. Lisa Griffin Hodgdon is Of Counsel in the Tampa office of Broad and Cassel. She is a member of the Firm's Labor and Employment and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups.

  • The cornerstone of Ms. Hodgdon’s practice is representing management in labor and employment law matters. She also practices general commercial litigation on behalf of a wide variety of clients.
  • Ms. Hodgdon routinely handles litigation matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Federal Civil Rights Act, whistleblower and retaliation claims, and state and local employment laws. She also has experience with employment related administrative matters, including proceedings before the EEOC, the FCHR, and local employment agencies.
  • Ms. Hodgdon also counsels clients regarding day-to-day employment decisions, including hiring, firing, personnel problems, wage and hour issues, discipline, investigations regarding allegations of sexual harassment and/or discriminatory issues, ADA, and more.
  • She also develops, reviews and updates employee handbooks for clients, and conducts training for employees and management regarding harassment and discrimination.
  • Ms. Hodgdon also assists clients in complying with federal and state wage and hour laws and has represented several employers in federal court in regards to wage and hour claims.
  • While in law school at Stetson University, Ms. Hodgdon won several honors and awards, including Best Brief and Best Oralist in Research and Writing II, and served internships with the Guardian Ad Litem Program and with the State Attorney's office. She also served as a judicial intern with the Honorable Manuel Menendez, Jr. of the 13th Judicial Circuit, Tampa, and the Honorable Henry Lee Adams, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division.
